About TCE



Thiagarajar College of Engineering(TCE), Madurai, an ISO 9001:2008 certified Institution affiliated to Anna University is one among the several educational and philanthropic institutions founded by Philanthropist and Industrialist Late. Shri. Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar. It was established in the year 1957.

TCE is funded by Central & State Governments and Management. The courses offered in TCE are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. It was granted Autonomy in the year 1987. TCE has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. TCE offers Seven Undergraduate Programmes, Fourteen Postgraduate Programmes and Doctoral Programmes in Engineering, Science and Architecture.

Qualifications


Mechatronics DISCIPLINE - Qualifications & Experience:

PROFESSOR:

  1. B.E/B.Tech and M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering /Information Technology with First Class or equivalent either in B.E/B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech AND Ph.D or equivalent, in Computer Science and Engineering /Information Technology. Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. student is highly desirable.

  2. Minimum of 10 years teaching / research/ industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor OR Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or Research and / or Industry.

    In case of research experience, good academic record and books / research paper publications / IPR/ patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee.

    If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising / designing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books / research paper publications / IPR / patents etc as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee.


  3. Applicants with no arrears are preferable. However applicants with a history of arrears in two subjects are also eligible.

    4. Pay Band : Rs.37400-67000

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR :

  1. BE / B.Tech and ME /M.Tech in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electronics with first class or equivalent either in BE / B.Tech or ME/M.Tech.

  2. Applicants with no arrears are preferable. However applicants with a history of arrears in two subjects are also eligible.

Information Technology DISCIPLINE - Qualifications & Experience:

PROFESSOR:

  1. B.E/B.Tech and M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering /Information Technology with First Class or equivalent either in B.E/B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech AND Ph.D or equivalent, in Computer Science and Engineering /Information Technology. Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. student is highly desirable.
